Good evening, glad that you can join us.

I wanted to just share with you, before we get started tonight, share a few things with you, a little bit from Scripture, and then just kind of talk about this evening. So first of all, I want to read a little section of Scripture to you out of the book of Luke, it's chapter 10, verses 38 through 42. It says, Now as they were traveling along, he, meaning Jesus, entered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomes him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord's feet, listening to his word.

But Martha was distracted with all of her preparations. She came up to him and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all of the serving alone? Tell her to help me. The Lord answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you're worried and bothered about so many things, but only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken.

She has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. I think we live in a world of Marthas right now, a world that almost tells us that if we're not a Martha, if we're not busy serving, if we're not busy doing, that we're doing it wrong. And I think sometimes the busy world that we live in almost becomes a badge of honor for us as people, and the busyness of church becomes a little bit of a badge of honor for us as Christians. And there was nothing wrong with the things that Martha was doing.

It wasn't wrong for her to want to serve. The problem was that she didn't want to take the time to be at Jesus' feet. And Mary had chosen that. So for tonight, we just want to lay aside all the distractions, lay aside all the things, and really just take some time to worship the Lord, because that's where that filling comes from. And so my prayer is that we let go of the inhibitions tonight.

We let go of the cares of this world. We let go of the things that have been holding us down. And we truly praise God for who he is. As we remember the sacrifice that he made for us. As we take time this week to remember the sacrifice that he made for us. And so during this time of worship, I want you to feel free. If you want to stand, you can stand. If you want to sit, you can sit.

If you want to kneel, you can kneel. Just feel free to take time to worship the Lord. And down here at the front are the communion elements. We won't be doing a formal communion time like what we usually do. They'll just be here. We'll be here. We'll be here. We'll be here. We'll be here. We'll be here. We'll be here. point in time you feel led to come forward and take communion and you can feel free to come up

get your elements and then return to your seat just spend that time with the lord commuting together with him so i'm just going to open this up in a word of prayer then i'm going to turn it over to the worship team father we come to you now and we thank you for who you are lord we thank you for uh the way that you love us thank you for how you have saved us lord we thank you for the cross lord we thank you for everything that this week represents and father as we gather together as your body lord i pray that you would allow us to let go all of the things of the world lord to let go of all of the distractions to let go of all of the burdens to let go of the things that may be holding us down and lord may we find freedom as we sing to you father

pray that our voices would be lifted high without concern for how we make sound without concern for who may be listening without concern for who may be watching lord that our hearts and our minds would be fully stayed upon you father move through this time we pray i ask for a fresh anointing of your holy spirit on this worship team on this church and on this congregation here gathered and we just praise you father in jesus name amen let's worship together we can do something awesome who we are god remind us of who we are there's there's no big change on that day that jesus called it was each one
