I'll just use Jared's. Good evening. How's that? Is it coming out now? No? Yes? Kinda? Sorta? Doesn't sound very loud. All right. Welcome to Calvary Chapel. I'm glad that you're here this evening. Glad that you've

joined us for a night of worship. So I want to read a little psalm to us just to kind of get our hearts set in the right direction. And then I'll turn it over to the worship team. So Psalm 61 says this. Hear my cry, O God, and give heed to my prayer. From the end of the earth, I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for you have been

a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in your tent forever. Let me take refuge in the shelter of your wings, Selah. For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me the inheritance of those who fear your name. You will prolong the king's life. His years will be as many generations. He will abide before God forever. Appoint loving kindness and truth that they may preserve him. So I will sing praise to your name

forever, that I may pay my vows day by day. This was the psalm from the Our Daily Bread from yesterday. And it really stuck out to me. And what stuck out to me is how it begins and how it ends. Because it starts off with David saying, hear my cry and attend to my prayer. From the end of the

book, he says, lead me to the rock that's higher than I. But where he starts off being faint in heart, he ends by saying, I will sing praise to your name forever. So I don't know the condition of anybody's heart coming in here tonight, but perhaps as you're coming in tonight, maybe you can relate to the psalmist David. Maybe you feel like your heart's a little bit faint. Maybe you

feel like life is a little bit overwhelming. The things in the world are a little bit overwhelming. And it's time to go to the rock that is higher than you. And so, my prayer is that that's what we will see tonight. Our hearts will be guided to a place that is so much higher than I, so that while we may come in here feeling faint, we will leave having sung the praises of our Savior who is worthy to be praised. Amen. Would you guys bow

with me in prayer? Lord, we come to you. And God, we offer up this time to you tonight. Lord, we offer up the opportunity that we have to sing praise to you, Lord, as we make our sacrifice of praise. We ask that your Holy Spirit would flow through it. Lord, that you would flow through this worship team and that your Holy Spirit would flow through the hearts of every

person that's in here singing your praises tonight. Lord, that they would lay out their hearts before you, lay out their cares before you, and truly just pour out their hearts in praise. And we thank you, Father, in Jesus' name. Amen. Again, as last time, please allow yourself to praise however you feel necessary. If you want to stand, you can stand. If you want to sit,

you can sit. I will, again, be over here to the side. If anybody needs prayer for anything, if you want to come up, and see me for prayer, feel free to come up. Otherwise, just enjoy some time of praise with our family.

Here we just consider you, the God of the universe, who spoke and creation happened. Your very word, we thank you for that, Lord. You knew us before the foundation of the earth, of the world. You planned salvation, and you sent your Son and the Holy Spirit to seal us. Oh, we thank you, Lord Jesus. Just with us yet, on topside earth, move much, we can always pray. He's not finished with us yet. Amen. Thank you, Jesus.

Yes, Lord, that's our prayer. Just as the children of Israel in the Old Testament were faced with idols and those kind of things, we too, in this modern day in which we live, have to keep our eyes on you, Lord. We know that. The Word was God, the heavens and the earth. Oh, as I think about David, and as he faced that giant, you know, that at that time, he had other giants. Saul was a big problem. We have giants today.

We have various things that face us and bring us down at times. And as we're honest with ourselves and our feelings, we know, oh, I can't do it. But he's faithful all the time. What each of us face and what giants are in our way at times, those things that can hinder us, that weaken us, Lord. But in our weakness, you're made strong. Amen. In the storm, never leave us nor forsake us. Greater is you who is in us than he who is in

the world. We think of that promise. There's the husband here and there too, because you love us. And we thank you, Jesus. You're so worthy of our praise.

Thank you for this opportunity just to praise you, God. And thank you for what you've done for us, Lord God. For the new life that you give us, God. For all the ways that you take care of us, God. The ways you provide for us. That opportunity to let our light shine like a star of the moon will reflect you, your light. As you shine through us, Lord, if we, our hearts to be healed. That we're supposed to be salt of

the earth too. And may our speech be seasoned, you know, that salt and all, but there'd be a little grace there too, Lord. Just help us. And we just thank you, Lord. You breathe the very life, into us. Your word says that. And you said, let us make man in our image, you see. And of course, we fell and, you know, Adam did what he did. And we would have done the same thing, I'll bet you.

And you sent your son. You provided that sacrifice. Oh, holy God. This is, thank you for the very breath you give us. Praise, Lord. But we just stop and say, I love you. And thank you, Jesus. Jesus. Those who feel like standing, Lord, you join us. Just if you feel like it, this last song. Lord, let this be. We just ask, Lord, that you bless us. As we close this,

the Lord bless you and make his face shine upon you. Lord bless you. Father, now, as we leave, would you go before, strengthen us, encourage us in our walk on witnesses for you, Lord. May we glorify you. May we be a light that shines you from, may we reflect you. May we be salt. May we stand in you. In Christ, we stand alone. Amen? The Lord bless you. And keep you.
