Just in Jesus Christ's resurrection, why should I gain from Him? Did y'all stand? Alright, here we are. Welcome all of you here this morning to Calvary Chapel and those of you online.
Thankful that we can come together to worship and song and study the Word of God.
Would you bow your heads and join me in prayer? Father, we thank you for this opportunity this morning. We praise you. We thank you for your grace, your mercy, your sovereignty, Lord. We thank you that you're in total control. Nothing takes you by surprise.
We ask that you would bless our time now this morning, that we, as we come, just as we are, may we by faith sing as unto you and study your Word. I know, Lord, we have different feelings and thoughts and concerns that come across, but oh, by faith. May we look to you, trusting you, knowing you are working in us both to will and do of your good pleasure. We love you and we praise you, Lord.
We thank you. Bless our time.
I searched the world, but it couldn't fill me. Deep praise, treasures of faith, but never enough. You came along to gather me. It is I. Now satisfied.
I'm to the mercy and grace. One by. Take these lives, and as we yield them to you, Lord, as we present ourselves, a living sacrifice to you, holy and acceptable. You're so good.
It's who you are. It's who I am. It's who I am.
Praise this morning. So, Father, as our flesh has a tendency to fight against the things of you, Lord, and not to let go in worship, would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? Would you help us to do so? yield, because you're so worthy. Love us. You sacrificed your life for us. Dying on that cross
was a gift. I'm accepted. Amen. Amazing love. Your mercy never fails me. I've been held. Yes. The moment that I wake up, I will see. Okay, now. So in dark, you are close like no other. Yes, Lord. I've known you as a fatherless. He's run. Surrender. Soul of the goodness. God is good.
Thank you for being our strength. Matter of the state in which we're living. You're always there. Going out to us as a people. Trust you. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty. He will save you with joy. So with you, joy. He'll rest in his love. And joy over thee will sing. The Lord is good all the time. And we thank you, Jesus. Now, as we continue this service, Lord, as Ryan comes up to teach,
put a move upon our hearts by your Holy Spirit. Fill us afresh. Give us ears to hear, eyes to see, hearts to perceive, willingness to obey that which you call us to do, because we love you, because you first loved us. Lord bless you all. Let's have some fellowship.
Good morning. Glad you could be here this morning. If you would begin the process of locating your seat, grab a bulletin and we'll go over some announcements. Welcome to Calvary Chapel. I'm definitely, this is the time of the year that I'm just glad when anybody shows up because the world is crazy right now. There's a lot of sick people in the world, so I'm glad everybody's here
this morning. So a few things to go over in your bulletin. Over on the left-hand side, all the things are normal this week, except for one. Well, no, it's normal this week, but it's going to be making a change soon. And that's that college Bible study is going to be moving to Friday nights, starting January the 21st, which is this coming Friday. So that switch is happening this week. Sorry. In my mind,
it's still January the 3rd. So the 21st is forever away, but turns out that's this Friday. So that's one, that's the only change that's going to happen this week. So that's the only change that's going to happen this week. So that's going to be made to the midweek schedule. In the center section of your bulletin, ladies, don't forget that there's a women's conference coming up
February the 5th. All of the information is right here in your bulletin, as well as the website to go to to sign up for that. And then fellas, we postponed our men's breakfast to this coming Saturday. So that will be this Saturday. And then the thing that is not in your bulletin is that there will be no prophecy update this week. Still isn't quite up to it yet. So that will not be happening this week. And then one more thing.
There is a table at the end of the hallway that has a bunch of t-shirts on it. They are from past VBSs, just extra t-shirts that we've got. Most of them are kids' shirts. There's maybe one or two adult sizes. But if you're like, hey, I would like to have a new t-shirt for my kid, you're in luck because there's a bunch back there and you should take them because I don't want them in my office
anymore. So take a look at the website. I'll be right back. Those back there. There's also a stack of King James Bibles that somebody donated to us, about five of them, paperback King James Bibles. So if you have not been reading enough of these and those lately, snag yourself a King James Bible, then thou shalt go forth with peace. So help yourself to that. It's going to be great. You're going to love it. Yes. Okay. No one told me that.
No ladies study Monday night. So that's the other thing, apparently. Thank you for letting me know that. So no Monday night ladies study this week. Okay. Those are the things that are going on. If you would make sure that your mobile device is silenced. And for our unison reading this morning, we are going to be in Psalm 46. Psalm 46. We'll be looking at the New American Standard, just so we all sound the same. As you're turning to Psalm 46,
if you would stand in the honor of the reading of God's Word.
